Louisiana ATV Registration Requirements & ORV Stickers

You’ll need to register and title your ATV in Louisiana. 

If you’ve recently purchased an off-road vehicle, you’ll have 30 days to transfer it into your name. 

To do so, you’ll need to visit your local OMV office with the following:

  • A title and registration application (DPSMV 1799). 
  • Proof of ownership of the ATV:
    • Certificate of title. 
    • MCO. 
    • Notarized Bill of Sale. 
  • Proof of insurance. 
  • Proof of sales tax paid. 
  • Payment for title and registration fees.
