It features street or standard styling with a liquid cooled V-Twin engine.
In 1999, the SV650 entered the market as budget-friendly entry naked street bike.
In 2003, the SV650 was updated with upgrades like a fuel injection system, new rear brake caliper mounting, new frame, and updated body styling.
Upon its reintroduction for model year 2017, the SV650 is available with or without ABS.
