History of Yamaha Motorcycles

Yamaha Motor Corp was founded in 1955 in Japan by Genichi Kawakami.

Its first product was the YA-1, a 125cc single cylinder bike.

Like Suzuki, Yamaha focused on 2-stroke bikes for a while.

In 1976 it produced its first 4-stroke: the XS750.
