Florida Motorcycle Training Course Details

All new riders are required to complete a course in order to receive a Florida motorcycle license.

The Florida motorcycle safety course typically consists of a total of 15 hours, including:

  • 5 hours of classroom instruction.

What is covered in the rider training course?

The curriculum and exercises for your motorcycle safety course are developed by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF), the Florida motorcycle safety and training coordinator and its administering agency. 

During your course, you’ll gain hands-on riding experience along with classroom instruction. 

The classroom portion will generally consist of 5 hours, including a motorcycle knowledge exam.
