Nevada Motorcycle Training Course Details

Riders under 18 years old are required to complete a course when there is one available within 30 miles of their house. 

In order to enroll, you’ll either need a valid driver’s license, instruction permit, or proof of completion of Driver’s Ed.

Passing an approved course will satisfy the NV DMV requirements for the motorcycle skills and written tests. 

When you arrive for your skills portion of the course, you’ll need to wear:

  • A DOT-approved motorcycle helmet. 
  • Eye protection. 
  • A long-sleeve shirt or protective jacket. 
  • Long pants made of durable material with snug-fitting cuffs. 
  • Sturdy boots that cover your ankles.
