In Missouri, a moped is defined as a motorized bicycle if it meets the following definitions:
- No more than 3 wheels.
- An automatic transmission.
- An engine of no more than 50cc.
- No more than 3 gross brake horsepower.
- A top speed of no more than 30 mph.
Anything that exceeds those definitions is considered a motorcycle.
